Overview of the project

Drifter executed the project management and field construction supervision for Deer Creek’s Joslyn pilot SAGD facility beginning with front end engineering in 2003 through to first steam in Q2 2004. The Drifter team was involved in scoping assistance and evaluations, supporting infrastructure, engineering, field construction management, cost and schedule management, commissioning, and post-startup support. The single well pair pilot project was constructed on time and on budget. Drifter/Deer Creek re-rerouted the pilot well pad to the commercial facility in Q1 2006 and subsequently decommissioned and dismantled the pilot facility.
