Overview of the project
Drifter executed the project management and field construction supervision for Pengrowth’s Lindbergh pilot SAGD facility beginning with preparing the regulatory application for submission in Q4 2010 through to first steam in Q1 2012. The Drifter team was involved in scoping assistance and evaluations, regulatory approvals, supporting infrastructure, civil earthworks, engineering, shop inspection coordination, field construction management, cost and schedule management, commissioning, and post-startup support. The existing, mothballed facility was retrofitted and a new two well pair pilot pad constructed on time and on budget. Drifter/Pengrowth re-routed the pilot well pad to the commercial facility in Q2 2015 and subsequently decommissioned the pilot plant.
